Did you know?….
A Lithium phosphate battery is much kinder to the environment than a lead-acid variant. Firstly there is no lead, a highly toxic element to life, and the chemical elements they do contain are much more environmentally friendly and easily dispersed. Also a single quality lithium leisure battery will outlast its lead variant several times over. Thus there are significant reductions in manufacturing and recycling emissions.
Our ambition is a cleaner environment. As a responsible producer of advanced leisure batteries, we are registered with the United Kingdoms Environmental Agency (Battery Compliance Scheme).
We are among the growing number of responsible manufacturers that have pledged to work towards a cleaner and carbon neutral environment for all. We ensure all of the materials used in our batteries comply with environmental legislation and avoid the use of any harmful or prohibited substances by commissioning independent laboratory tests to dismantle and and report upon the exact composition of every component in our products. We also transparently publish these results (See MSDS and ROHS test house data HERE)
KS Energy are registered with the environmental Agency (England) and regulated by the office for product safety and standards to comply with Battery Compliance Scheme (BCS) . As a producer of industrial batteries under the waste batteries and accumulators regulations 2009, we produce Lithium-Ion Phosphate industrial batteries (LiFEPo4). We are obliged to take back free of charge waste industrial batteries supplied to an end user for treatment and recycling. We are required to do this in any calendar year we place new industrial batteries on the market. If any of of our customers or in certain cases other end users, require us to take back industrial batteries, they should contact us at email@example.com. We will agree the necessary arrangements for the return, proper treatment and recycling of the waste industrial batteries.
Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) UK Regulations (SI 2006 No.3289)
The WEEE regulations and Battery Waste Regulations require we are actively involved in recycling of our products. KS Energy offer a free like for like recycling scheme – so when you buy a new battery from us, we will take care of your old model.
