Did you know?....
A Lithium phosphate battery is much kinder to the environment than a lead-acid variant. Firstly there is no lead, a highly toxic element to life, and the chemical elements they do contain are much more environmentally friendly and easily dispersed. Also a single quality lithium leisure battery will outlast its lead variant several times over. Thus there are significant reductions in manufacturing and recycling emissions.
Our ambition is a cleaner environment. As a responsible producer of advanced leisure batteries, we are registered with the United Kingdoms Environmental Agency (Battery Compliance Scheme, Registration BPRN07724). We are among the many responsible manufacturers who have pledged to work towards a carbon neutral and cleaner environment for all.
KS Energy are registered with the environmental Agency (England) and regulated by the office for product safety and standards to comply with Battery Compliance Scheme (BCS) Registration BPRN07724 . As a producer of industrial batteries under the waste batteries and accumulators regulations 2009, we produce Lithium-Ion Phosphate industrial batteries (LiFEPo4). We are obliged to take back free of charge waste industrial batteries supplied to an end user for treatment and recycling. We are required to do this in any calendar year we place new industrial batteries on the market. If any of of our customers or in certain cases other end users, require us to take back industrial batteries, they should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will agree the necessary arrangements for the return, proper treatment and recycling of the waste industrial batteries.
The WEEE regulations and Battery Waste Regulations require we are actively involved in recycling of our products. KS Energy offer a free like for like recycling scheme – so when you buy a new battery from us, we will take care of your old model. Simply return your old battery to KS Energy or drop it into an authorised dealer and we ensure it is collected and responsibly recycled in a manner which is safe for the environment. Alternatively, you can find a local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.com
